To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\explorer\run] 'Update.exe' = '%TEMP%\uptodate.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Setup.exe
Malicious functions:
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\cmd.exe' /c C:\xd.bat
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- C:\xd.bat
- %TEMP%\uptodate.exe
- <SYSTEM32>\vbSendMail.dll
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Setup.exe
Deletes itself.
