To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'CoCo' = '%WINDIR%\lacss.exe'
Malicious functions:
Executes the following:
- <SYSTEM32>\reg.exe delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\1 /va /f
- <SYSTEM32>\cmd.exe /c "%PROGRAM_FILES%\1.bat"
- <SYSTEM32>\taskkill.exe /f /im Ksafetray.exe
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %PROGRAM_FILES%\1.bat
Moves itself:
- from C:\2.TMP to %WINDIR%\lacss.exe
- from %WINDIR%\lacss.exe to C:\2.TMP
- from <Full path to virus> to %WINDIR%\lacss.exe
Network activity:
Connects to:
- '<Private IP address>':0
Miscellaneous:
Searches for the following windows:
- ClassName: '' WindowName: ''
