- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'Microsoft Distributed Services' = 'msvc.exe'
Malicious functions:
Creates and executes the following:
- <SYSTEM32>\msvc.exe 300 "<Full path to virus>"
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- <SYSTEM32>\msvc.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <SYSTEM32>\msvc.exe
Deletes itself.
Network activity:
Connects to:
- 'ir#.#roircd.net':6667
UDP:
- DNS ASK ir#.#roircd.net
Miscellaneous:
Searches for the following windows:
- ClassName: 'AIM_CSignOnWnd' WindowName: ''
