- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] 'Shell' = 'Explorer.exe chrome9.exe'
Creates or modifies the following files:
- %WINDIR%\Tasks\At1.job
- %HOMEPATH%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\Search bar.lnk
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\chrome9.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\New Folder.exe
Malicious functions:
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\at.exe' 09:00 /interactive /EVERY:m,t,w,th,f,s,su <SYSTEM32>\chrome9.exe
- '<SYSTEM32>\at.exe' /delete /yes
Terminates or attempts to terminate
the following system processes:
- <SYSTEM32>\cmd.exe
Sets a new unauthorized home page for Windows Internet Explorer.
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %HOMEPATH%\Favorites\Sioril.lnk
- %HOMEPATH%\My Documents\Search bar.lnk
- C:\browserconfig.properties
- <SYSTEM32>\chrome9.exe
- %WINDIR%\chrome9.exe
- %HOMEPATH%\Desktop\Search.lnk
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <SYSTEM32>\chrome9.exe
Moves the following files:
- from %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\cwdgt0y8.default\prefs.js.new to %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\cwdgt0y8.default\prefs.js
