- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\Run] 'Windows' = '%APPDATA%\csrss.exe'
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'Update' = '%APPDATA%\csrss.exe'
- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'Update' = '%APPDATA%\csrss.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
Malicious functions:
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\regsvr32.exe' <Current directory>\MSWINSCK.OCX /s
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %APPDATA%\csrss.exe
- <Current directory>\MSWINSCK.OCX
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- %APPDATA%\csrss.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
