To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'a' = '%TEMP%\lsass.exe'
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'a' = '%TEMP%\lsass.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\TTHDHGC\DFG-2352-66235-2352322-634621321-6662355\364855.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\TTHDHGC\DFG-2352-66235-2352322-634621321-6662355\Desktop.ini
Malicious functions:
To complicate detection of its presence in the operating system,
forces the system hide from view:
- hidden files
Creates and executes the following:
- '%TEMP%\lsass.exe'
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\netsh.exe' firewall add allowedprogram lsass.exe lssas ENABLE
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %TEMP%\lsass.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\TTHDHGC\DFG-2352-66235-2352322-634621321-6662355\364855.exe
- %TEMP%\lsass.exe
Network activity:
Connects to:
- 'localhost':6688
- 'ap#.##pmania.com':80
UDP:
- DNS ASK ap#.##pmania.com
Miscellaneous:
Searches for the following windows:
- ClassName: 'Indicator' WindowName: '(null)'
