Malicious functions:
To bypass firewall, removes or modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\AuthorizedApplications\List] '%HOMEPATH%\internet.exe' = '%HOMEPATH%\internet.exe:*:Enabled:internet.exe'
Creates and executes the following:
- '%HOMEPATH%\internet.exe'
- '%HOMEPATH%\Local Settings\Tempserver.exe'
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\netsh.exe' firewall add allowedprogram "%HOMEPATH%\internet.exe" "internet.exe" ENABLE
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %HOMEPATH%\internet.exe
- %HOMEPATH%\Local Settings\Tempserver.exe
Network activity:
Connects to:
- 'd8#.#o-ip.biz':1177
UDP:
- DNS ASK d8#.#o-ip.biz
Miscellaneous:
Searches for the following windows:
- ClassName: 'Indicator' WindowName: '(null)'
