To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'netmon' = '%WINDIR%\system\netmon.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\smartkey.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
Malicious functions:
Creates and executes the following:
- '%WINDIR%\system\netmon.exe'
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\wbem\wmiadap.exe' /R /T
Hides the following processes:
- %WINDIR%\system\netmon.exe
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- <DRIVERS>\sysdrv32.sys
- %WINDIR%\system\netmon.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\smartkey.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- %WINDIR%\system\netmon.exe
- <DRIVERS>\sysdrv32.sys
Deletes the following files:
- <SYSTEM32>\PerfStringBackup.TMP
- <SYSTEM32>\wbem\Performance\WmiApRpl.ini
Deletes itself.
