- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'exp1orer' = 'rundll32.exe <SYSTEM32>\svchost.dll,MicrosoftIE'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\driver.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\AutoRun.inf
Malicious functions:
To complicate detection of its presence in the operating system,
forces the system hide from view:
- hidden files
Creates and executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\driver.exe'
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\rundll32.exe' "<SYSTEM32>\svchost.dll" MicrosoftIE
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %PROGRAM_FILES%\Tecent\servers.dll
- <SYSTEM32>\servers.dll
- <SYSTEM32>\svchost.dll
- <SYSTEM32>\driver.exe
- %PROGRAM_FILES%\Tecent\svchost.dll
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- %PROGRAM_FILES%\Tecent\svchost.dll
- %PROGRAM_FILES%\Tecent\servers.dll
- <Drive name for removable media>:\driver.exe
- <SYSTEM32>\driver.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\AutoRun.inf
