Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\regedit.exe] 'Debugger' = 'explorer.exe'
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\taskmgr.exe] 'Debugger' = 'explorer.exe'
- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] 'Shell' = 'c:\temp\asys2.exe,explorer.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
Malicious functions:
Executes the following:
- <SYSTEM32>\taskkill.exe /f /IM asys.exe /t
Sets a new unauthorized home page for Windows Internet Explorer.
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- C:\temp\autorun.inf
- <Current directory>\autorun.inf
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- C:\temp\autorun.inf
- <Current directory>\autorun.inf
Miscellaneous:
Searches for the following windows:
- ClassName: 'Shell_TrayWnd' WindowName: ''
- ClassName: '' WindowName: ''
